Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalency diploma.
• Nursing Assistant Certificate with proficiency in EKG and Phlebotomy.
• Minimum two years of direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the unit's admission and discharge processes.
• Establish good interpersonal relationships with families/visitors and hospital staff.
• Reports vital information to all levels of the healthcare team, as needed.
• Obtains and documents patient vital signs and monitors patient status.
• Performs phlebotomy procedures and ECG as directed.
• Provide direct patient care and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient transfers.
• Utilize proper body mechanics and assist with transfers.
• Perform delegated patient care procedures.
• Obtain and label specimens and perform diagnostic tests as directed.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team.
