Come join our Nursing family and be an integral part of our med/surg telemetry team! We offer an extensive onboarding experience with a dedicated Preceptor that includes continuing education, SIM lab, and a dedicated professional development specialist. Our Patient Care Associates (PCA) collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and carry out a patient-centered plan of care. This position involves treating a diverse patient population with a variety of medical conditions and post-surgical care needs. The medical surgical PCA provides direct nursing care in accordance with Bristol Health's established policies, procedures, and evidence-based protocols.

Bristol Hospital Mandated Educational Requirements:
General orientation at time of hire. Accucheck and Fire/Safety/Infection Control annually. BLS every 2 years. Additional cross-training as appropriate to perform diverse job duties. Successfully complete all training programs as determined by the Hospital. Other unit-based competencies/skills as required.
Work Environment:
Normal patient care environment. Exposure to patient fluids and waste. Rapid pace and variable environment.
Cognitive Requirements:
Mental flexibility to perform diverse duties involved in patient care. Good communication skills, written and oral, and ability to follow written and oral instruction.
