Mercy Ada is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) in the Emergency Department to support nurses and deliver compassionate, high‑quality care during critical moments. You’ll assist with daily care, monitor vital signs, and help ensure comfort and safety for every patient.

This full-time role offers three 12‑hour shifts per week in a dynamic, team‑oriented ED. Mercy provides comprehensive benefits, tuition support, paid time off, and retirement plans to teammates working 32+ hours.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with daily care activities, hygiene, mobility, and comfort needs.
• Obtain and document vital signs and other patient information in the electronic medical record.
• Observe patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to the nursing team.
• Support admissions, discharges, and patient transfers.
• Assist with specimen collection and point-of-care testing as appropriate.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient care environment.
• Provide clerical and customer service support, including answering phones and responding to patient needs.
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and other healthcare team members to deliver exceptional patient care.

As a Patient Care Associate (PCA), you'll work alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals to support patient care, promote comfort and safety, and help ensure a positive experience for every patient who enters our Emergency Department. This fast-paced environment offers variety, teamwork, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day.

What You'll Do
