Job summary

Mercy is seeking a bedside assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. You will help with daily activities, perform basic clinical tasks, and support the care team to promote patient wellness.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CNA/CPTC or enrollment in a healthcare program, and BLS within one month of hire with PCA competencies within three months. Lifting 50 pounds and standing for shifts are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA/CPTC or enrollment in a healthcare program preferred.
• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire and PCA competencies within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Experience: None required
• Certifications: BLS Required within one month of hire, completion of PCA competencies within 3 months of hire
• Physical Requirements: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
• Preferred Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
