Job summary

Mercy is hiring Patient Care Assistant (PCA) in Oklahoma City. Under supervision of RN/LPN, you assist in individualized patient care to promote wellness and participate in essential non-clinical tasks.

You will work within a care team, performing designated clinical procedures and supporting daily operations. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA/CPTC or enrollment in a healthcare program, and BLS within 1 month of hire with PCA competencies within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, G.E.D, CNA/CPTC or enrolled in a healthcare career program; current Mercy coworker eligible.
• BLS required within one month of hire and PCA competencies within 3 months.
• Minimum physical requirements: lift 50 pounds, stand/walk long shifts, bend/kneel/twist/squat.

• Education: High school diploma, G.E.D, CNA/CPTC. or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum, and/or a current co-worker of Mercy. - Licensure: - Experience: None required - In the state of Missouri: If no previous experience, Mercy will provide a required 175-hour training program that meets the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services requirements. The program will be completed as part of the new hire orientation process and must be completed within 90 days of hire to remain in the PCA position per state guidelines. - In the state of Oklahoma: - In the state of Arkansas: - Certifications: BLS Required within one month of hire, completion of PCA competencies within 3 months of hire - Other:Minimum Physical Requirements - Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis - Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift - Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties - Preferred Education: - Preferred Licensure: - Preferred Experience: - Preferred Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). - Preferred Other:
