Job summary

Baptist Health Arkansas is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support nursing on the unit, assisting with basic patient care, monitoring, and hygiene to help ensure care is complete.

The role requires a High School diploma, the equivalent, and completion of 12 college credits to advance. You may be asked to float to other units to meet patient needs. Epic charting skills are valued, with strong communication and the ability to follow instructions.

Job description

A Patient Care Associate serves as a technical assistant to nursing on the unit whose primary function is to assist with basic patient care, monitoring, hygiene, and to help ensure care is complete. The nursing assistant works as part of the nursing team on a unit and throughout the hospital to ensure that each and every patient and guest to the hospital has their needs met, whether that need is physical, spiritual or educational.

Must complete 12 hours of college credit to promote to next level.
May be required to float to another unit/department when necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed: Ability to read, write, understand and follow instructions. Basic addition and subtraction skills. The verbal skills to effectively relate to patients, visitors, staff, and physicians. Ability to utilize Epic to chart and monitor tasks to be completed.

This job will be authorized48.00 hours bi-weekly.
