Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a patient care assistant to support nursing staff in Hollywood, FL. Under RN supervision, you will perform basic patient care, monitor vital signs, assist with personal care, and help keep rooms clean and stocked.

The role requires circulating BLS credentials (CPR/ECARD) and at least three months of patient care experience or completion of a formal training program. Night shift availability is required.

Summary

Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care and other related technical and clinical support activities.

Responsibilities

• Additional duties as assigned.
• Monitors patient status and response;
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assist with transporting patients, as needed.
• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and eating.
• Assists with keeping patient rooms/areas stocked, clean and orderly.
• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including but not limited to: monitoring vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
