Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, FL seeks a patient care assistant working nights under the supervision of an RN. You will perform basic patient care, assist with daily living activities, transport patients, and support the clinical team.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, glucose measurements, and recording outputs. Must have or obtain BLS, and complete required competencies within six months.

Qualifications

• No degree required; entry to patient care support.
• BLS American Heart Association Basic Life Support certifications required or to be obtained.
• EKG and phlebotomy competencies required within six months of hire.

Responsabilités

Summary

Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care and other related technical and clinical support activities.

Responsibilities

Additional duties as assigned.Monitors patient status and response; Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.Assist with transporting patients, as needed.Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and eating.Assists with keeping patient rooms/areas stocked, clean and orderly.Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including but not limited to: monitoring vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
