Scope of Position: The Ohio State University Medical Center is committed to enhancing patient care quality. The Patient Care Associate (PCA) is a vital team member on a patient care unit, reflecting a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. The team, including RN-PCC, PCA, SNA, and UCA, provides patient care and support aimed at achieving patient outcomes, involving patients in their care, improving service, reducing hospital stay length, and decreasing costs. Patients and families benefit from patient-focused care through the skills of all team members.
Position Summary: The PCA provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Care is delivered collaboratively with the patient, family, and care team, with the overall goal of meeting patient needs.
Required Qualifications:
