Job summary

Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) to support the nursing team under an RN's direction. The PCA assists in clinical tasks to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth patient flow.

This onsite role requires CNA/PCT/MA/EMT certification or equivalent experience; nursing students in BSN or direct-entry master's programs are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Certification as a CNA, PCT, MA, EMT or commensurate experience required, unless enrolled in the NWH PCA Training Program or a nursing student with clinical components.
• Nursing students hired as PCAs should preferably be enrolled in BSN or direct-entry master's programs.

Job Summary

Under the direction of a registered/licensed nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team assists in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.

Qualifications

Certification as a CNA, PCT, MA, EMT or commensurate experience required, unless incumbent is currently enrolled in, and successfully completes, the NWH Patient Care Associate Training Program, or is a nursing student who has completed her/his fundamentals of nursing with a clinical component (clinical rotation or simulation lab). For nursing students hired as PCAs, strongly prefer nursing students enrolled in BSN programs or direct-entry Masters' programs
