Job description

Job Title: Patient Care Associate (PCA)

Under the direction of a registered/licensed nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA), as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, assists in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.

Qualifications:

1. Certification as a CNA, PCT, MA, EMT, or equivalent experience is required, unless the incumbent is:
2. Currently enrolled in, and successfully completes, the NWH Patient Care Associate Training Program, or
3. A nursing student who has completed fundamentals of nursing with a clinical component (clinical rotation or simulation lab). For nursing students hired as PCAs, enrollment in BSN programs or direct-entry Master’s programs is strongly preferred.

Shift Details:

24-hour night position, 11 PM - 7 AM, three nights per week, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
