Job description

White 10 is seeking a Full-time Patient Care Associate (PCA), with Day and Night availability, including rotating weekends and holidays.

Position Details

The inpatient medical unit is a 20-bed facility located in Boston, MA. It serves patients from diverse backgrounds with acute and complex medical issues, often admitted from the Emergency Department or transferred from intensive care units.

What Are We Looking For?

• Assist the healthcare team in promoting a safe, caring environment under RN mentorship.
• Help patients with daily needs, monitor vital signs, draw blood, obtain EKGs, respond to requests promptly, and maintain confidentiality and safety.
• Provide excellent customer service and interact effectively with diverse groups.
• Use strong interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail to solve basic patient and practice problems.
• Physically able to lift and transport patients safely.

Schedule

• Day shifts (7a-7p, 7a-3:30p) and Night shifts (11p-7a, 7p-7a)
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• Four shifts per week, combining 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
• Full-time permanent applicants preferred

Minimum Requirements

Must have recent experience and/or training in clinical patient care.

Preferred Qualifications

Licensed, certified, or enrolled in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT program at hire, or enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, or PA undergraduate program with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed.
