Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Health Aide to support patient care across units. The role includes assisting with ADLs, measuring vitals, and documenting observations. Training in UAP protocols is provided, with AED certification required or obtained during orientation.

You will perform phlebotomy, glucometer testing, EKGs, and help transport patients and materials while adhering to safety standards and unit policies.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required; six months nursing assistant/health aide experience preferred.
Enrollment in an LPN/RN program is acceptable; AED certification required or obtained before end of orientation.
Proficient English communication, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

Assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, and document intake/output.
Perform phlebotomy, glucometer testing, and basic EKG tasks per protocol.
Transport patients, stock supplies, and report changes to the RN in charge.
Ensure safety and proper equipment use; follow hospital policies and procedures.
