Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our Regional Float team, providing bedside nursing support in a hospital setting. This role, based at St.

Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, IL, offers 36 hours per week with night shifts (7p–7a) and mileage reimbursement for additional assignments at sister ministries. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and CNA/PCT certification; BLS is required within 30 days of hire.

Job description

Pay Range: $17.50 - $24.50

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Hospital Sisters Health System is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our Regional Float team, serving as a support resource to our dedicated nursing staff committed to providing the highest quality care to our patients. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers, looking for an opportunity to deliver bedside care and support to patients in a hospital-based environment.

Position Specifics
  • Core Function: Nursing support
  • Schedule: 36hrs/wk, Nights, 7p-7a
  • Facility: St. Elizabeth's Hospital
  • Clinic Location: O'Fallon, IL
  • Compensation that aligns with your experience
  • Additional assignments at our sister HSHS ministries in Southern IL: Breese, Greenville, Highland (mileage reimbursement paid by HSHS)

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36

Education Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Experience Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience in acute care setting is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification in state of practice is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon 30 days of hire.
