Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support nursing staff and provide bedside care in a hospital setting. The position works PRN nights in the Medical-Surgical department at St.

Joseph's Hospital, Breese, IL, with compensation aligned to experience. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, CNA or PCT certification if needed, and BLS training within the first 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year nursing assistant or PCA experience; or 6 months nursing assistant or PCA experience with certification.
• CNA or PCT certification in state of practice required with 6 months experience; not required with >1 year experience.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required within 30 days of hire.

Pay Range

$17.50 - $24.50
A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Education Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

Experience Qualifications

- 1 year nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience; or 6 months nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience and certification as indicated below.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the state of practice is required with 6 months experience as noted above. Certification is not required for those with greater than one year experience.

- BLS (Basic Life Support) is required within 30 days upon hire.
