Patient Care Assistant/PCT/CNA (Part-Time Day Shift Float)

Position Overview

This role involves performing advanced indirect and selected direct patient care duties under the supervision of an RN, including clerical functions. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles related to different life cycles.

Essential Job Functions

1. Provide competent care to patients, demonstrating necessary skills and knowledge.
2. Deliver appropriate indirect and direct patient care, collaborate with healthcare team, employ critical thinking, maintain equipment and records, and prepare patients for procedures.
3. Respond to patient needs, assist with daily activities, transport patients, perform treatments, and maintain cleanliness and order in patient areas.

Other Job Functions

• Support professional growth through mandatory meetings, education, and mentoring.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
• Current BLS certification
• 2 years of hospital experience or enrolled in nursing program (preferred in Oklahoma)
• Ability to understand instructions, perform calculations, and demonstrate relevant skills
• Prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting capabilities
• Knowledge of PPE protocols and universal precautions
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal
