Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Tele Med/Surg department. This full-time, day-shift role offers 3-12 hour shifts (7am-7pm) with rotating holidays. You will assist with activities of daily living and basic nursing care under RN supervision.

Preferred certifications include Phlebotomy and EKG, plus BLS within 30 days of hire. Prior acute-care experience is favored; CNA certification is required by facility.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
