Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Surgical Stepdown unit. You will assist patients with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse in charge.

The role requires current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain; phlebotomy and EKG certifications are preferred. Six months of acute care hospital or physician’s office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• CNA certification required by facility.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.


• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.


• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.


• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.


• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (as Applicable Required)

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.


• High School Diploma or equivalent
