Job summary

Riverside In-Home Private Care - Williamsburg is seeking an Aide to provide personal care and comfort measures to patients in a home setting. You will follow the plan of care under RN/LPN supervision and maintain accurate documentation.

Applicants must have a VA-Board approved Nurse Aide program or equivalent, CPR/BLS certification within 30 days, a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle for 25%+ travel. Prior home care experience is preferred.

Newport News, VirginiaHiring Range$16.80 - $21.83/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.This position requires the candidate to:- Be at least 25 years of age- At least 5 years of acceptable driving record- Have a valid Drivers License and Auto Policy- Have a reliable vehicle for transportationOverviewWorks under the supervision of Nurse Manager in personal care, comfort measures and environmental services of the patients (including those needing special precautions) and performs specified treatments. In addition, this position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and provide the care needed as described according to the departmental policy and procedure.What you will doProvides personal care, comfort measures, environmental services, and specified treatments for a specified number of patients as determined by department standards. Follows the plan of care that assures patients receive consistent, competent, and ethical care, within legal standards of practice, while maintaining privacy and support for the patient’s value system. Provides care consistent with both verbal and/or written instructions. Demonstrates competent understanding of assigned plans of care within appropriate scope of practice and responsibilities as directed by the RN/LPN to include accurately completing all required documentation.Ensures availability of resources (equipment, instruments, supplies) necessary to ensure positive patient outcomes.
