Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for its Cardiac Neuro-Acute Tele unit. You will assist patients with daily living activities and support the nursing staff under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge.

The role requires CNA certification (preferred), BLS within 30 days, and familiarity with medical terminology. High school diploma or equivalent is required, with a rotating night schedule and full-time status.

Qualifications

• Certification in CNA preferred.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Phlebotomy and EKG certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.

• Schedule: Full time Nights|3-12 hour shifts 7p-7a| Rotating holidays.
• Facility:St. Francis Hospital
• Location:355 Ridge Ave Evanston, Illinois 60202

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.2. Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.3. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current. 4. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.5. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (as applicable required):

6. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.7. High School Diploma or equivalent
