Job Description

As a Patient Care Assistant, you will work under the supervision of registered nurses to perform patient care activities, helping healthcare providers with clinical procedures in a compassionate and professional manner.

Responsibilities
  1. Safely lift, transfer, and transport patients to inpatient beds and departments.
  2. Collect, perform, and document urine and glucometer tests, including quality controls.
  3. Label and enter specimens into the system.
  4. Monitor high-risk patients, such as restrained, suicidal, or combative individuals, as directed by RN or physician.
  5. Obtain vital signs and weights accurately.
  6. Document all patient interactions in the electronic medical record.
  7. Enter work orders into the computer system.
  8. Stock supplies at patient bedside.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal or written instructions.
  • CPR certification.
  • STNA, NA, or MA licensure preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain electronic medical record documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and professionally.
  • Proficiency in 12-lead ECG testing is a plus.
