Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Wisconsin is hiring a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support nursing staff with delegated tasks in direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision. This role emphasizes compassionate, reliable patient support and adherence to clinical standards.

Part-time schedule includes rotating 12-hour day/night shifts and every third weekend, with 48 hours per pay period. Experience as a CNA is advantageous; must be at least 18 and have either 12 college credits or a Nursing Assistant

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.
• Completion of 12 college credits -OR- High school diploma/ GED with successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training or equivalent preferred.
• Able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.
• Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers; certification will be included if not held.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Carries out delegated skills that are within those functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel.
