Job Description

Primarily responsible for the delivery of non-clinical care to all adult and pediatric patients. Responsible for the delivery of clinical care as delegated by licensed nurses and within the scope of practice. Responsible for promoting positive interactions with staff, physicians, patients, families, and other visitors.

SHIFT AND SCHEDULE

Part-Time, Overnight Shift, 6:00 pm to 6:00 am

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
  1. Follow expected workflows and processes for the delivery of non-clinical and clinical care.
  2. Demonstrate effective communication skills, including patient and family education, collaboration with physicians and healthcare team members, and professional communication.
  3. Provide a safe environment for patients, families, and co-workers, including proper handwashing and adherence to infection control policies.
  4. Maintain professionalism by keeping current with AED and other competencies, following dress code policies, and participating in orientation of new team members.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Completion of a certification program required.
  • Current State of Texas Certification as a Certified Nurse Aide.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. The individual must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak, and hear.
  • Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. Use an assisted-lift device or seek assistance for lifts exceeding these limits.
