Job summary

Visiting Angels Quad Cities, IA is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support seniors in the Quad Cities area, including Eldridge. You will provide compassionate in-home care, assist with mobility, and help with light housekeeping and meals.

We offer training in dementia care, opportunities for growth, and a supportive Bettendorf team serving Bettendorf and nearby towns. Full- and part-time shifts available. Pay is $14–$16 per hour with weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others and provide compassionate care.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them while shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

Patient Care Assistant - PCA Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
