Job summary

Riverside Health is hiring for a part-time patient care role in Newport News, VA. You will work 7am–7pm under RN supervision, performing wound care, EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic patient care while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED (Preferred) and about 1 year of prior healthcare experience in a hospital setting (Preferred). CPR/BLS and CNA or equivalent credentials are required or accepted as alternatives.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient data into EMR accurately.
• Follow plan of care and perform treatments under RN supervision (e.g., vital signs, wound care, EKGs, blood draws).
• Complete clinical and quality documentation per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain resources and keep work areas clean, safe and organized for patient care.
• Assist with admitting, discharge, or transfer of patients as directed by charge nurse.
