Job summary

Mercy Fitzgerald, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support our nursing team on the 4 Pavilion Team. The role is part-time with 24 hours per week, primarily nights (7 PM–7:30 AM) including weekend coverage.

Responsibilities include direct patient care under registered nurse supervision, plus auxiliary duties to maintain unit operations. CNA preferred or nursing student status, and current BLS certification are required/desired.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Assistant preferred or current nursing student
• Current AHA BLS

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care tasks under supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Assist with indirect care and unit function tasks (equipment cleaning, transport, stocking supplies).

Summary

The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) is responsible for direct patient care tasks as assigned and under supervision of professional nursing personnel. Also provides indirect care to maintain unit functions as directed by the professional nursing staff i.e. care and cleaning of specific equipment, transportation of patients, stocking of supplies and equipment, etc.

• Current AHA BLS
