Job summary

Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, PA is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge.

Per Diem, Days shift. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, plus phlebotomy and EKG certifications preferred, and BLS within 30 days. Prior acute care or physician office experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous acute care hospital or physician’s office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides basic nursing care to patients under RN supervision.
• Helps maintain a safe environment on the unit.
• Supports RN in charge with patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
