The Opportunity: Patient Care Assistant – Clinical Decision Unit-Bigelow 12

The Bigelow 12- Clinical Decision Unit is a thirty-one-bed new admission pathway that currently serves general medicine patients identified as "short stay," defined as those requiring inpatient‑level care from 48 to 72 hours.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Licenses and Credentials

• Basic Life Support [BLS]
• Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification]
• Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician [National Certification] preferred
• Nursing Assistant- preferred

Experience

Experience working in patient care/elder care 0-1 year preferred

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong patient/customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Proficient in computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.
