Mayo Clinic is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support inpatient units across Med Surg, Float Pool, PCU and ICU. You will assist patients with daily living activities, provide basic nursing care under RN supervision, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Must be 18+, with a high school diploma/GED preferred, and BLS certification prior to first day in patient care. Flexible shifts include days, evenings, and nights; wage ranges from $20.98 to $29.19 per hour.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to communicate, collaborate and manage relationships with interdisciplinary members while maintaining patient/family centeredness and safety in a timely, efficient and equitable manner.

• BLS certification included in orientation program; successful completion required prior to first day in patient care.

Responsibilities

Open positions are available across our inpatient units, including Med Surg, Float Pool, PCU, and ICU.

Nursing Assistant assists patients with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care, which support nursing practice under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The nursing assistant carries out designated activities that are within those functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel. This includes assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care to patients and assisting in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years old. High school diploma/GED preferred. Demonstrates ability to multi-task under stressful situations.
