Meridian HealthCare is seeking a full-time Patient Care Assistant to join our team in Ohio. The role runs on a day shift from 7:00am to 7:30pm with rotating holidays, contributing to comprehensive care for patients.

You will assist with vital signs, transport, and basic care while supporting department operations. A HS diploma and valid driver’s license are required, with knowledge of chemical dependency preferred.

Our agency is looking for a full-time Patient Care Assistant to work day shift. Our day shift PCAs work 7:00am – 7:30pm and work rotating holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collect data that contributes to the assessment and evaluation of individualized care and needs of assigned patients.
• Provide direct care (taking vital signs, transporting to other departments) to patients according to Meridian policy and procedures.
• Perform clerical duties such as answering phones and order entry as needed.
• Prioritize and execute assigned tasks in a timely efficient manner.
• Help maintain department operations by stocking, handling linens, cleaning equipment and transporting patients.
• Follow safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients, and other staff members.
