St. Luke's Health-The Vintage Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with daily activities, comfort, and safety. You will help with personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding while assisting nursing staff with essential care tasks.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, preparing patient rooms, recording intake/output, and performing glucose testing as needed. CPR certification is required, and compassionate, observant individuals thrive in this role.

Formación

• High school graduate or GED required at hire.
• CPR certification is required (BLS preferred).
• Ability to monitor and record vital signs accurately.
• Experience assisting with personal hygiene and daily living activities.

• Monitor and record vital signs and patient status.
• Assist with personal hygiene and physical care needs.
• Accurately measure, record, and report intake and output.
• Obtain and record daily weight.
• Perform blood glucose testing using a glucose meter.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Patient Care Assistant, you'll help our patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with their basic daily life activities. Every day, you will directly support patients with tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, while also assisting nursing staff with vital sign monitoring and preparing patient rooms. Your success in this role comes from your genuine desire to help patients feel better, whether that means giving them fresh bed linens or checking their vitals. You're diligent about your tasks, observant of patients' conditions improving or declining, and accept coaching well.

Job Requirements

• High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or

• graduated from an accredited school of nursing or 1 year direct patient care experience , upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
