Job description

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of routine tasks to support the delivery of safe, effective, and cost-efficient patient care as delegated by the RN. Assists in transporting, transferring, and lifting patients. Performs cleaning functions in the patient care unit as delegated and conducts selected diagnostic tests.

  • Provides direct patient care as delegated by RN staff
  • Monitors and records vital signs
  • Assists in providing personal hygiene and physical care needs
  • Accurately measures, records, and reports intake and output
  • Obtains and records daily weight
  • Performs blood glucose testing using a blood glucose meter
Qualifications
Required Licensure and Certifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • BLS- AHA
Required Minimum Skills, Abilities, and Training
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • At least 1 year of patient care experience
