Job summary

Lower Bucks Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Patient Care Assistant for per diem night shifts to support our clinical team in Bristol, PA. You will help with activities of daily living and basic nursing tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, contributing to a safe and compassionate patient environment.

Qualified candidates have a CNA certification, BLS, and familiarity with medical terminology; phlebotomy and EKG certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current phlebotomy certification preferred at hire.
• Current EKG certification preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), state approved Certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing care.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.

2. Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.

3. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

4. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.

5. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
