Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS within 90 days of employment (provided) and CNA certification Missouri preferred.
• If uncertified or less than one year experience, PCA Academy training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follows hospital safety policies regarding patient safety measures and notifies licensed nurse when patient condition changes.
• Provides basic patient care under supervision (vital signs, glucometer checks, toileting, feeding, bathing, activity).
• Works with nursing staff to meet patient needs and respond quickly to requests.
• Documents all patient care activities to support clinical decision making.
• Communicates pertinent patient information to team members to improve outcomes and quality of care.
