Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support daily living activities for patients under RN supervision. You will assist with basic nursing tasks and maintain a safe environment on the Medical-Surgical Unit.

Requirements include CNA certification (state approved) and BLS; phlebotomy and EKG certs preferred. At least six months of acute care experience is preferred; we offer a fast interview process and full-time day shifts.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
