Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide patient care under RN/LPN supervision. You will support daily living activities, observe patients, and help maintain a safe, clean environment on the unit.

Responsibilities include vitals collection, documentation in the EMR, and assistance with transportation and specimen handling while adhering to infection control guidelines. CPR certification and CNA credentials are required by the hire date.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• CPR/BLS is required within 30 days of hire if not currently certified.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care and observation for safety.
• Accurate documentation of vital signs and care activities.
• Transport and handle specimens per unit standards.
• Maintain infection control and environmental safety.
• Support and precept new nursing assistants as needed.
