Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Boston seeks a Per Diem Patient Care Associate to support licensed staff in delivering daily living activities for patients at 55 Fruit Street. You will assist with bathing, dressing, eating, turning and repositioning, and document observations in the medical record.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred. Onsite work with rotating shifts; hourly pay range is shown with a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes/outputs with accuracy.
• Completes documentation in the medical record.
• Interacts with patients and families effectively.
• Helps patients with basic hygiene tasks including bathing and dressing.

Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating.

Essential Functions

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested.
• Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
• Helps patients with a number of basic hygiene tasks.
• This may include bathing and dressing patients, helping them use the toilet if needed and feeding them.
• Assists with helping patients turn and reposition themselves in bed as needed and help them move between the bed and a wheelchair if they use one.
• Listens to any health concerns patients may have and report those concerns to the nurses.
