Banner Heart Hospital is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join our Cardiac Progressive Care unit. Our CPCU is a 60-bed inpatient, high acuity cardiac unit focusing on providing excellent care for cardiovascular patients. The CPCU provides care for STEMI/NSTEMI patients, Heart Failure patients, and patients with acute arrhythmias as well as patients who undergo cardiac angiograms with interventions, and pacemaker/defibrillator implants.

We are currently offering a DAY shift position working from 6:00am - 6:30pm for three shifts per week. Our team uses a rotating weekends and holidays schedule. You will have the opportunity to utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift coverage as well as enjoy a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18% Night Shift differential when applicable!

Our facility includes a 28 bed cardiovascular intensive care unit that specialized in the recovery of surgical patients, cardiogenic shock, and CRRT. Our 60 bed Cardiac Progressive Care Unit specializes in fast-paced procedural recovery and our 23 bed Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit specializes in surgical recovery. Our space also includes two endovascular suites, six OR suites, six cardiac Cath labs, and three electrophysiology labs.
This incumbent provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contributes to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records. The position also performs a variety of support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as effective human relations and communication skills.
Computer literacy and keyboarding skills are required. In California: advanced skills are excluded.
BSS team members must have 12 months Banner experience in the role.
Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral or BUMG, BUMCT in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire.
