Job summary

Mercy Medical Center seeks a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with daily living activities and provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role emphasizes safety and compassionate care across units.

Candidates should have a CNA certification, a high school diploma, and are preferred to have phlebotomy and EKG certifications, plus BLS within 30 days of hire. Prior acute care experience is a plus.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
  • Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
  • Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
  • Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
  • Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
Facility Specific Requirements (as Applicable Required)
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $18.00 to $26.68. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
