Job summary

Garnet Health Medical Center-Catskill is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support our Med-Surg-Tele team. You’ll assist patients with daily living activities and bedside care under the supervision of an RN, helping ensure compassionate, high-quality care.

We value teamwork, ongoing training, and reliable staffing. Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and CNA certification preferred, with BLS and EKG training required before end of orientation.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred for new hires as of June 1, 2007.
• BLS certification and EKG training/competency required before completing unit orientation.
• Must attend hospital crisis training program within 3 months of hire or transfer and annually thereafter.

The range for the role is $21.59 - $22.24 hourly.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Required Certification/Registration:

Satisfactory completion of Nursing Assistant/Aide course, with CNA certification preferred for all new hires as of June 1, 2007.

BLS certification and EKG training/competency must be completed prior to being released from unit orientation, must maintain BLS Certification and EKG competency throughout duration of employment.

Must attend hospital crisis training program within 3 months of hire or transfer and annually thereafter.

Physical Requirements:

Position will primarily be medium to light work requiring lifting with lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling and reaching are required. Position requires 20% sitting and 80% standing or walking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by spoken and written word is required.
