Job summary

MemorialCare Health System in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Adult General Med/Diabetes unit. You will perform activities of daily living for patients and support unit operations under supervision, contributing to a safe and compassionate care environment.

The position offers a day shift in a full-time role, with a pay range of $23.73–$26.97 per hour and a $1,500 signing bonus for external hires meeting requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Nursing students actively enrolled in a nursing program who have completed the first semester may qualify.
• A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) certification is required
• Basic computer knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of licensed personnel, performs activities of daily living for patients and assists with unit activities that support patient care.
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment and contributes to patient health and safety.
