Hospital Sisters Health System is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our Regional Float team, providing bedside care and supporting our nursing staff in a hospital setting. The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-focused care with opportunities to cover across sister ministries in Illinois.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, a CNA or PCT certification, and BLS within 30 days of hire, with at least 1 year of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care and support to nursing staff.
• Work 36 hrs/week on night shift (7pm–7am).

Pay Range:

$17.50 - $24.50

Hospital Sisters Health System is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our Regional Float team, serving as a support resource to our dedicated nursing staff committed to providing the highest quality care to our patients. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers, looking for an opportunity to deliver bedside care and support to patients in a hospital-based environment.

Position Specifics:
Core Function: Nursing support
Schedule: 36hrs/wk, Nights, 7p-7a
Facility: St. Elizabeth’s Hospital
Clinic Location: O’Fallon, IL

This position will be asked to help cover assignments at our sister HSHS ministries in Southern IL: Breese, Greenville, Highland. HSHS will pay a mileage reimbursement for the commute.
Education Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  Experience Qualifications
• 1 year of experience in acute care setting is preferred.
  Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification in state of practice is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon 30 days of hire.
