Job summary

HealthPartners in Stillwater, MN is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support a Registered Nurse in delivering patient care, including personal hygiene, daily activities, and setting up patient rooms.

The role involves transporting patients and equipment, stocking supplies, coordinating unit communications, and assembling patient charts. Night shift, 0.8 FTE (32 hours/week) with every other weekend and holiday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or active CNA on Minnesota registry.
• Valid BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Equivalent work experience in lieu of HS diploma, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily activities.
• Transport patients and equipment; stock and reorder supplies.
• Coordinate communications and procedures for the nursing unit; assemble patient charts.

Job description

As a Patient Care Assistant you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to assist in delivery of patient care including personal hygiene and daily activities transporting patients and equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and reordering/stocking of supplies. Responsible for coordination of communications and procedures for the nursing unit, process electronic orders and assembling patient’s charts and other necessities.

Work Schedule:

.8 FTE (32 hours per week), nights (11pm-7:30am). This position requires you work every other weekend and holiday.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have one of the following:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • HS Diploma in progress and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
  • Equivalent work experience in lieu of HS diploma or equivalent may be considered
• Valid BLS from American Heart Association or Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications:

• CNA experience
• HUC or unit clerk experience
• Microsoft office experience
• Prior experience in acute care or hospital setting
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
