Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is eager to contribute positively to our team while ensuring an exceptional experience for our patients. The ideal candidate is energetic, reliable, hardworking, and a team player with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. We are a busy family-oriented optometric practice, open Monday-Friday, seeking to add a patient care assistant to our team. Prior optometric experience is not required; we are committed to training the right individual – must have a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

This role supports eye care providers by assisting with direct patient care tasks, including preparing patients for exams, recording medical histories, and helping maintain a clean and organized clinical environment. Collaboration with clinicians is essential to support efficient patient flow and a positive experience for every patient.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Greet patients enthusiastically & professionally
  • Inform patients of office procedures and policies
  • Perform exam pre-testing (and input all numbers accurately into patients’ electronic medical record)

While this position will primarily focus on the clinical/technical aspect, it will be a cross-trained position.

All positions require maintaining accurate patient records and adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Role is not limited to duties above, as we are a small office and may need your assistance with additional tasks.
