Job summary

Dignity Health - Methodist Hospital in Sacramento is seeking an Department Aide to support essential patient care under RN supervision. You will help with mobility, fit-into gowns, manage room setup, and assist with supplies while adhering to hospital procedures.

You will document accurately, maintain aseptic technique, and participate in staff orientation. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are required in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year OR-related experience (EVS, transport, SPD) or equivalent.
• GED or high school diploma required; BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient mobility and environment maintenance.
• Stock and prepare unit supplies; assist with admissions/dispositions.
• Distribute drugs or medical supplies per hospital policy.
• Document legibly and promptly in the computerized system.
• Support staff orientation and act as a resource to others.
