Job summary

Visiting Angels Athens is seeking a Patient Care Aide (PCA) to support seniors in Athens and surrounding areas with compassionate care and mobility assistance. The role offers opportunities for growth through dementia and Alzheimer’s care training, helping you develop important caregiving skills.

You will provide companionship, assist with daily activities, and contribute to safe, respectful in-home care for adults in the community.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks).
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients when possible.
• Run errands or accompany clients when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
