Visiting Angels seeks a Patient Care Aide (PCA) to support seniors across Central Texas, including Hearne, Bryan and College Station. This role offers flexibility, room for growth, and meaningful, compassionate care in home or facility settings.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, light housekeeping, mobility support, meal planning, medication reminders and shopping. Requires a high school diploma and pass of background checks; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent time-management skills and reliability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.

A Visiting Angels Patient Care Aide - PCA wears many hats as they help our elderly and home-care clients stay at home or recover at home with dignity.

While no two client visits look exactly alike, responsibilities may include:

• Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene
• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them)
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability)
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation - this can include everything from getting around the house to visiting the doctor and taking walks

A Patient Care Aide - PCA must also be prepared to act quickly in the case of medical emergencies. This includes adequately reporting any health changes or unusual circumstances. Our caregivers possess the ideal blend of competency, compassion, and professional discernment.
