Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina seeks a Nurse Aide I for a full-time 36-hour work week in the Nursing Med Surg: Clinical Decision Unit. The position covers day shift with every 3rd weekend.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, vital signs, and routine procedures. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, Nurse Aide I listing, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required for new hires on or after 7/22/2018.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support patients with activities of daily living.
• Assist with personal hygiene.
• Take vital signs and height and weight.
• Feed and ambulate patients per procedures.
• Maintain patient rooms in a clean, orderly condition.
• Observe and report changes in patient conditions.
• Orient patients and families to unit and safety measures.
• Assist with clerical work and data entry, entering information and maintaining medical records.
• Maintain stock supply items in inventory management.
• Perform Nurse Aide I tasks and related duties.
