Job summary

AdventHealth in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff in delivering safe, compassionate care. The role involves assisting with patient care under a licensed nurse, performing vital signs, and documenting in the EMR.

Required High School diploma, (preferred) 1+ PCT experience, and BLS certification. Additional licensure may apply. The facility offers Day One benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduation or equivalent is required.
• 1+ applicable PCT experience is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the delivery of patient care by performing tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Accurately performs vital signs and documents in the electronic medical record.
• Performs duties and patient care according to policy and procedure. Functions appropriately within scope in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
