Job summary

Hartford Hospital, part of Hartford HealthCare, is seeking a Patient Administrative Associate to support the patient care team with administrative tasks and effective communication with patients and families.

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Unit Manager, you will assist in daily operations, maintain records and coordinate communications across care teams, aiming to ensure smooth unit functioning.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English and perform basic mathematics.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Basic computer skills are required; physical effort as applicable.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Hospital-based or physician office experience is a plus.
• CPR validation may be required within three months depending on area.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the patient care team.
• Communicate with patients, families, and health care team members.
• Report to Manager, Patient Unit.
